Trinity Christian Center found themselves in a similar position to Rarely Simple in that while Office Live Small Business has met their needs to this point Microsoft is cancelling the service. They evaluated Office 365 and determined it was not exactly what they had in mind. Their desire was more for the online presence than the collaboration tools.

Some of the key features they were looking for included:

• A calendar app for managing and promoting church activities
• An audio publishing app for recorded sermons
• and the ability to update content without the knowledge of HTML

Our Solution

Due to our previous experience with Joomla on other projects and the limited timeframe for the project, we set up a Joomla site with a custom template to accomodate their immediate needs. We will be using Joomla components, such a Nivo-Szaki Slider and SermonSpeaker, to enhance the user experience while maintaining the use of the Joomla admin console.

This was a great experience for us. The transition of web hosts was smooth and the design was well-received. Post-launch efforts include email transition, legacy browser compatibility support and Joomla training.
